Have you heard about the Grant Center?
For many of us the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day is one of rest, recovery, reflection, and surfing the web. Family members have returned to their own lives, the left-overs are about all eaten. The shipping boxes and spent wrapping papers have made their way to the bin. Now with our laptops or tablets on our laps and our feet up on our ottomans, we can indulge ourselves in a bit of web surfing.
One of our favorites at the District Rotary Foundation Committee is the Grant Center on rotary.org. With its roll out on December 14th, it is almost like a present for the holidays. (Hint … you will need to have or create a ‘My Rotary’ account to access the Grant Center.)
This Center provides general information, frequently asked questions, reference material. and guidance on applying for grants. It provides an online grant application for global grants (district grants still originate within District 7600 grants module on dacdb.com).
SuAnne Hardee Bryant, the District Foundation Committee’s Grants Chair and Bill Liepis, the Global Grant Chair, should be consulted first before beginning any actual grant application. They can help anticipate the preparation necessary before starting a grant application online.
Happy New Year!
