Has your club entered your Foundation Goals in My Rotary?

Joy Kline, our most excellent District Annual Giving Chair, reports that 15 clubs in District 7600 have not entered their Foundation Giving Goals into My Rotary. These Goals help both The Rotary Foundation and the District 7600 Rotary Foundation Committee fashion strategies to educate members about The Rotary Foundation and to help members find their most comfy giving niches.

What to do? What to do?

Let’s say you are the club president or the club Rotary Foundation chair.  Verify whether the club’s giving goals have been entered at MyRotary.org.  Six people in the club are eligible to check club goals … the president, the club secretary, the executive secretary (if the club has one), the treasurer, the membership chair, and, you guessed it, the club’s Rotary Foundation chair.

Each of the above persons will have his or her own username and password. Anyone who doesn’t can simply create an account by following the instructions on myrotary.org. It is easier than setting up an Amazon account.

So you’ve made it to myrotary.org!

  • click on Manage
  • click on Club Administration
  • click on Rotary Club Central (you’ll be asked to log again … security, you know)
  • click on Goal Center (left menu)
  • Click on  Foundation Giving (your clubs name will be at the top of the page)
    • if the club’s 2018-19 giving goals are there, you are ready for cold Miller Lite
    • if not, click on the edit pencil and enter the club’s goals (this presumes the club has set those goals.)
